Our client is one of Canada's fastest-growing companies, recognized by Deloitte, the Globe & Mail, and the Lazaridis Scaleup Program. They are revolutionizing how landscape contractors source plant and hardscape materials through a B2B marketplace that simplifies procurement in a traditionally outdated industry.

Since their inception, we have helped landscapers save time, money, and stress and plant over 1.5 million plants and trees. Led by a young and eager group of entrepreneurs, our client is aggressively expanding across North America and are therefore looking for amazing people to add to our team!

As a Senior Logistics Specialist, you will own the end-to-end movement of goods across the North American supply chain, from supplier to customer, while setting the standard for how the logistics function operates.

You will be a senior contributor and leader on the team, shaping not only your own work, but also the quality and consistency of the team around you.

What You’ll Do

Own the end-to-end logistics process across the United States, making sharp, well-reasoned decisions to keep orders on track across quality, speed, fill rate, communication, and cost.
Lead value engineering initiatives related to transportation, identifying structural opportunities to improve order profitability and delivery performance at scale, not just one shipment at a time.
Negotiate with nurseries, suppliers, and transport partners at a senior level, securing advantageous terms while strengthening the strategic relationships that keep the supply chain resilient.
Manage a high volume of active orders simultaneously with precision, following up diligently, anticipating problems before they escalate, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Communicate proactively with upper management by surfacing risks and wins early, escalating issues with full context, and driving resolution rather than waiting for direction.
Resolve post-order issues thoroughly and systemically by diagnosing root causes, implementing corrective action, and closing the loop so problems do not recur.
Mentor and develop junior logistics specialists by sharing your expertise, raising team standards, and stepping in as an operational lead when upper management needs support.
Drive process improvement across the logistics function by identifying efficiency gaps, proposing data-informed solutions, and helping implement changes that protect revenue and scale effectively.
Support senior leadership with strategic logistics initiatives and ad hoc priorities as they arise.

What You’ll Need

4–6+ years of proven experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management, with a clear track record of owning outcomes and exceeding targets independently.
Hands-on experience booking, managing, and negotiating with trucking and freight carriers.
Exposure to CRM or TMS platforms, with the ability to quickly adopt new operational tools.
A sharp, proactive problem-solving mindset. You identify issues before they surface, make decisions with incomplete information, and act without waiting to be told.
Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
You follow up, follow through, and keep complex workflows moving across multiple orders simultaneously.
Strong negotiation skills and stakeholder communication.
You can influence up, down, and across an organization with clarity and confidence.
Demonstrated ability to lead informally by mentoring junior colleagues, setting standards, and elevating the people around you without needing a formal management title.
A highly self-directed and reliable working style, with the maturity to manage your own workload while contributing to a fast-moving, collaborative team.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, as well as proficiency across the full Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
Fluency in English is required.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Deep familiarity with logistics, customs brokerage, and import/export compliance.
Background in the landscaping, horticulture, or wholesale plant materials industry.
Proven experience formally or informally mentoring junior team members in a logistics or supply chain environment.
