Job functions

The Role:
We are looking for a skilled Website Scraper and Data Manager to join our team. This role involves extracting and managing vendor data to ensure our platform offers the most comprehensive and up-to-date catalogs for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain web scraping tools to extract vendor catalog data efficiently and accurately.
  • Onboard and integrate scraped data onto our platform, ensuring seamless availability of vendor catalogs for hotel procurement.
  • Regularly update and refresh data by scraping at set intervals to maintain the accuracy and relevance of our catalog offerings.
  • Work closely with the business ops team to identify key vendors and optimize scraping strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards in data scraping and management.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with the scraping process, making necessary adjustments for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Proven experience in web scraping and data extraction.
  • C1 or above proficiency in English (oral and written).
  • Familiarity with programming languages used for scraping (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
  • Experience with web scraping tools and frameworks (e.g., Scrapy, Beautiful Soup).
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and web technologies.
  • Ability to manage large datasets and perform data cleaning and preprocessing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple scraping projects simultaneously.
