Requisites

• Very strong Unix/Linux administration knowledge and experience. Understanding of kernel tuning, have the necesary knowhow for process tracking and debugging, understand I/O usage and metrics
• Web (Apache, NGINX) and Java Application (Tomcat, Jetty) servers expertise mandatory. These includes: setup, administration, deployments, finetuning
• Good scripting abilities on shell and its tools (awk, sed, grep)
• Continuous Integration experience and knowledge. Hudson/Cruise Control/Bamboo.
• Monitoring systems. Nagios/Munin.
• Load balancing understanding, mostly for web application servers.
• Deep network understanding, as well as security policies understanding.
• Advanced English

Desirables

• Maven/Ant and general Java building knowledge
• PL-SQL knowledge

• Java development background is a real plus
• Load and stress testing experience
• Capacity planning
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Ruby, python or other high level language experience for scripting

Qualifications

• Typically has 5 or more years experience with relevant internet technologies and with
• implementing, administering, and supporting development, testing and production websites
• and backend support systems
• Minimum 2 years experience in similar role
• Minimum 2 years of working in Linux based environments
